The building was beautiful! An amazing old St Petersburg building, beautifully restored and converted to a fine hotel. The entire place was immaculate and well-finished, with beautiful rooms, amazing libraries to relax in, and a great restaurant. We arrived late, around 23:30, and the bar and restaurant were open with the full menu available. The staff was very friendly and sweet, and always a pleasure to deal with. They all spoke English well. The breakfast was a nice selection of meats, fish, cheeses and housemade pastries, and was very good as well. Overall, this was one of the nicest hotel experiences I've ever had. I would certainly go back.
The distance from Nevsky Prospekt and the city center, while not insignificant, also made the hotel very quiet and peaceful. Still only 600 Rubles from the train station by cab.

I had the pleasure of staying at an exquisite guest house in a beautiful city. The house itself was tastefully renovated, evoking a sense of the wealthy class in 19th century Russia. Each room had a unique name and decorative theme, adding a personal touch to the experience. The breakfast buffet was delightful, with a wide variety of delicious homemade options. The staff provided exceptional service, always attentive and accommodating. The location, although a bit far from some attractions, was in a quiet and pleasant area. Transportation options like the tram and bus made it easy to explore the city, and a pleasant 25-30 minute walk led me to St Isaac Cathedral. I highly recommend this guest house for a memorable stay in St Petersburg.

We loved our stay in this privately owned hotel with unique room designs and comfortable beds. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was delicious. The location was ideal near the tourist hub along the canal and a short walk to Mariinsky theatre.
Not obvious to find.

Great and helpful staff. Wonderful rooms.
The hotel is not located near public transportation and is located to far from sights. Hotel is friendly to children but I would not recommend it as a family hotel.

The rooms were beautifully decorated and spacious, with modern bathrooms and romantic touches. The breakfast was amazing, with high-quality homemade food, excellent coffee, and individually-ordered hot dishes.- The staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable, providing excellent service throughout our stay.
The location required longer walks to historical places, but Uber was a cheap and convenient alternative for getting around.

The staff was very attentive to our needs. The rooms are very handsome, and the public spaces very comfy.
The location is just fair. For the Mariinski Theater it is great; otherwise, it is a bit of a walk to the center of town. But not undoable. There are mosquitos in the room, but I think this is a typical problem of St. Petersburg.
